Circuit Clinical Adds Bob Place, Clinical Trials Technology Leader, to Accelerate the Digital Transformation of TrialJourney™
BUFFALO, NY – Following successful completion of its $29M Series C, Circuit Clinical is proud to announce Bob Place as the company’s first Chief Technology Officer. Already one of the fastest-scaling clinical trial networks in the US, Circuit Clinical is now expanding its groundbreaking patient experience platform, TrialJourney™, and evolving novel clinical informatics datasets.
“Bob’s proven industry expertise and product vision comes to Circuit right as we are focused on digital transformation,” says CEO & Founder, Irfan Khan, MD. “Bob will oversee an entire ecosystem of product development centered on TrialJourney. He will also develop and oversee best-in-class IT operations to propel Circuit forward while protecting our people, patients, and data from significant exposure. We have big plans for the year ahead, and getting a proven, industry-tested and trusted leader like Bob sets the stage for what’s to come.”
Bob’s record as a seasoned technology leader with 20+ years of experience in the life science and financial services industries includes the milestone success at ClinEdge, delivering technological leadership through their acquisition by Elligo Health Research. His experience with successfully transforming ClinEdge’s existing clinical trials platform into an integrated ecosystem resulted in increased operational efficiency, growth opportunities, and GDPR and HIPAA compliance automation – such knowledge is well suited to Circuit’s growing data infrastructure requirements.
“The timing of my arrival and Circuit Clinical’s apex of growth is no coincidence,” noted Bob. “Having watched their evolution from the industry’s periphery, I am ecstatic to be welcomed onto their frontlines. This work that we’ll do together, for patients and health systems, has no bounds.”
Notable awards and accolades for Bob Place include: Winner (MITX) Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange; John Hancock President’s Award for outstanding achievement; CDC IXIS President’s Award for outstanding achievement; and many more.
